Fashion Fighting Famine's (FFF) 2012 Fashion Show featured close to 800 glamorous attendees of all backgrounds traveling from as far as Egypt, Dubai, Singapore, New York, and all across the U.S. Held on Sunday, June 3, 2012 in Irvine, California, the 5th Annual Fashion Show featured seven designers presenting a diverse and highly anticipated line-up. With daytime and evening ready-to-wear from designers Abaya Addict, Hijab-ista, Meem, Marena Y Sol, and Mohajababes, and signature scarves from designers SixteenR and Vela, the runway, designed by 2Create Designs, was aglow with dazzling, versatile pieces designed by and for American-Muslim women.

The 2012 Fashion Show benefited the FFF Cause of the Year, One Laptop Per Child, as well as Syria for Relief and Development. The esteemed celebrity guests of the evening were Ibtihaj Muhammad, member of the U.S. National Fencing Team, and Lena Khan, director of the upcoming film "The Tiger Hunter." Media attending the event included KCET, LA Weekly, Aslan Media, Islamic Horizons, and Aquila Style.

The FFF 2012 Fashion Show began with a pre-show party featuring an exciting pink carpet entrance for attendees, a luxurious lobby designed by Kismet Events, and for those lucky shoppers, a chance to have first dibs on runway styles in the Shop for a Cause bazaar featuring FFF designers and more. A portion of all sales benefited the FFF 2012 Cause of the Year, One Laptop Per Child (OLPC), as well as Syria for Relief and Development (SRD).

Abaya Addict featured a multitude of printed maxi dresses, on-trend high-low tops, and fearless abayas in FFF's 2012 Fashion Show. Abaya Addict's bold colors and versatile silhouettes were embraced by the FFF audience for their uniquely American-Muslim style.

Hijab-ista brought stylish and affordable wardrobe solutions to the FFF 2012 Fashion Show. Among the runway favorites were high-collared tunics in bright colors, harem pants, and their signature maxi dresses.

Marena Y Sol featured their highly-coveted line of resort-wear caftans and tunics at the FFF 2012 Fashion Show. Breathtaking stone embellishments, fine chiffon fabrics in perfect hues, and the highest quality in every detail, the audience embraced Marena Y Sol as the versatile solution to their day-to-evening needs.

Mohajababes featured their first collection of evening-wear caftans at FFF's 2012 Fashion Show. Crystals, color, and intricate Arabic-Pakistani fusion beadwork were the dominant features of this line. The elegance and versatility of Mohajababes caftans made these pieces a hit in the Shop for a Cause bazaar as the choice evening-wear for the FFF audience.

Hailing from Malaysia, Meem Clothing brought a casual edge to the FFF 2012 Fashion Show. With flowing silhouettes unique to Malaysian-Muslim and Indonesian-Muslim fashion, Meem Clothings tunics, jumpers, and signature tube scarves broadened the fashion horizon with exciting possibilities.

SixteenR showcased their unique line of screenprinted scarves at the FFF 2012 Fashion Show.  From the polka dot collection in pops of color, to their latest Flag Line, SixteenR's scarves, designed with empowering messages, were widely embraced.

Vela debuted their latest collection at the FFF 2012 Fashion Show. With a broad range of pieces like an ultra-feminine pearl encrusted number to those with a hard-edge such as their signature zipper scarf, there was a chic something for every woman in the crowd in the latest Vela collection.
