WHAT IS #EIDSTYLE?
#EIDSTYLE is an international campaign founded by Fashion Fighting Famine to showcase Eid holiday celebrations across the globe, capturing the diverse beauty of Eid festivities through the eyes of fashion. It is Sunnah (tradition of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him) to dress up in the best clothes available, whether new or clean old ones, among other traditions. In our #EIDSTYLE 2012 Campaign, we received submissions from across the nation and world, from California to New York, from the Netherlands to Indonesia. This year, we hope to receive even more submissions worldwide to showcase the beautiful and diverse cultures of Muslims celebrating Eid. |
